Describe a situation when you didn’t have enough time

I’m gonna talk about the first time that I took the IELTS Test. I have got to (informal) admit that it was a nerve-racking and unforgettable experience. It happened when I was a senior at university.

To have an IELTS certificate with minimum score required of at least 6.5 is one of the requirements for a bachelor’s degree. To be honest, being a senior made me stressed out all the time. I had to work on my graduation thesis while doing my internship. So it actually left me little time to prepare for the test. Not until 2 weeks before the examination did I took the preparation more seriously. (take something seriously)

So basically what I did was just doing some reading and listening tests, practicing speaking on my own with my phone recording, and reading some writing sample essays without actually writing any. And on the test day, honestly, I freaked out. And I think you can probably tell why.

In the writing test, I focused too much on Task 1, plus I’m not much of an (not much of a) Mathematician, figures and numbers have always been my biggest fear so it took me too much time to finish the first task of the test. Moving on to the second one, I have to say that the questions were not too complicated to tackle, but when I looked at the clock, there was about 15 minutes left and as expected, I didn’t have enough time to complete the whole essay.
