"Failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.", Henry Ford's quote that I learnt the hard way. It is challenging to wrap up a self-introductory without sounding too supercilious. Thus, I decided to dedicate this following wall of words retelling my story of life in which I've played the very typical character who had to start from the scratch in his 30s.

I enjoyed my glorious chapters of life since day 1 of birth. Growing up a "rich kid" and being overly protected by my well-off parents and relatives, I completed my high school years in an international school (British International School) where I had opportunities to get myself exposed to English on daily basis and to perceive completely inspiring and fascinating teaching methods, with merit. Those days were peaceful and care-free, I recalled myself as a coming of age who harbour somewhat of extreme illusions.

My university life was still fruitful at RMIT VN. Majoring in business and commerce, like some students who love to test out what theoretically learnt, I stepped a giant step to start up my business in trading physical goods (export and import), I was 20 back then. Having my business up and run, I consecutively scored success after success. And I must admit these unstoppable chains of accomplishments had unconsciously built up arrogant traits in me. Apart from the negative aspects, I learnt a great deal from self-taught demanding skills, namely, website designing, programme coding and so on. My life reached its climax stage in around 2013 and went down to the mouth a year after that.

That destined day of 2014, unforeseen circumstances from my business partner brought down my company. Not only did I lose a great deal of money but also trust from many people including friends, family and my fiance. The whole world collapsed right in front of me, feeling shame and with my enormous ego, I ran away to Malaysia to cowardly hide from all the criticisms. Those 2 years in Malaysia were struggling. Misfortunes after misfortunes completely devastated me. I realised, though late, that I was no Superman and that I should come back and say sorry to whom I did hurt.

Surprisingly, my parents still welcomed my return and supported me paying off my huge debt. Literately, I started over my career from scratch but I have never had a slight thought of giving up or slacking off. From 2016 to 2018, I had worked in 3 different organisations, namely, Johnson Health Tech, Wigo, and Dcar as the key account manager and assistant to CEO before switching completely to become a full-time English teacher at "IELTS fighter".

Speaking of teaching as a career, I began to part-time teaching English at a well-known English centre in HCMC when I was an undergraduate at RMIT (2006-2008). After the period of 8 years running my own business, I came back to this teaching profession in 2016, also as a part-time IELTS teacher. I am currently teaching at IELTS fighter; and so far, this has been the greatest school to work for thanks to its supportive staff, world-class training programs and enthusiastic students.

See you at IELTS Fighter!
