Tổng quan Speaking Part 1

Phần thi IELTS Speaking Part 1 diễn ra dưới dạng Introduction & Interview (Giới thiệu & Phỏng vấn).

Mục đích của phần thi này là kiểm tra khả năng truyền đạt ý kiến và giao tiếp hàng ngày của thí sinh.

Sau khi kiểm tra giấy tờ tùy thân, giám khảo sẽ đặt một số câu hỏi xoay quanh bản thân thí sinh và các chủ đề quen thuộc liên quan đến đời sống hàng ngày.

Thông thường, IELTS Speaking Part 1 sẽ kéo dài khoảng  …………………………………. phút. Trong thời gian đó, giám khảo sẽ đưa ra  …………………………………. câu hỏi về 2-3 chủ đề khác nhau.

Ở phần thi này, thí sinh không được cho thời gian chuẩn bị trước và không bị giới hạn thời lượng trả lời cho mỗi câu hỏi.

Question: Do you prefer to be a driver or passenger?

I think I like to be a passenger. Driving is not easy for me, and it’s stressful. As a passenger, I can sit and relax. That’s better.

Answer 2: Band ……………..

Honestly, it depends. On short trips, I may drive myself, especially if I know the way well. But for longer journeys, I actually prefer being a passenger. I can relax, listen to music, or even do some reading.

Fluency and coherence

· usually maintains flow of speech but uses repetition, self-correction and/or slow speech to keep going

· may over-use certain connectives and discourse markers

· produces simple speech fluently, but more complex communication causes fluency problems

Lexical resource

· manages to talk about familiar and unfamiliar topics but uses vocabulary with limited flexibility

· attempts to use paraphrase but with mixed success

Grammatical range and accuracy

· produces basic sentence forms with reasonable accuracy

· uses a limited range of complex structures, but these usually contain errors and may cause some comprehension problems

Pronunciation

· shows all the positive features of Band 4 and some, but not all, of the positive features of Band 6
