- Why he is famous
and explain what would you do if you meet him/her.
4. Describe a person who has been an important influence in your life.
You should say:
- who this person is and how long you have known him or her
- why you chose this person
- how this person has influenced your life
and explain how you feel about him or her.
5. Describe a person you met who has inspired you
You should say:
- Who this person is
- Where and under what circumstances did you meet him/her
- What quality about him/her inspired you
And explain the person’s attitude towards you
6. Describe a person you admire.
You should say:
- who this person is
- how long you have known him/ her
- what qualities he/she has
and explain why you admire him/ her so much.
7. Describe someone in your family who you really admire.
You should say:
- what relation this person is to you
- what are your first memories of this person
- how often you see this person
and explain why you really admire this person.

Khi nói về việc miêu tả người trong IELTS Speaking, đa phần người học sẽ nghĩ đầu tiên đến việc mô tả ngoại hình của người đó. Ví dụ như người này cao ra sao, mái tóc như thế nào hoặc ăn mặc như thế nào, …
Đây không phải là cách tiếp cận sai, nhưng với bài nói kéo dài tối thiểu 2 phút thì sẽ là một vấn đề khi mà người học trở nên “bí từ”, không biết phải mô tả gì tiếp theo.
Để bài nói được trọn vẹn cả về độ dài lẫn ý nghĩa, cách tiếp cận nên đi từ giới thiệu đến miêu tả tính cách hoặc nội tâm của nhân vật (theo hướng câu hỏi đặt ra), vì từ đây mình sẽ có thêm rất nhiều ý hay để trình bày.
Ví dụ như: Mình cảm thấy sao về tính cách đó? Mình có ngưỡng mộ người này không? Tính cách đó có gì đặc biệt với những người khác?
Hay vì sao bạn biết người đó, họ có điểm gì khiến bạn ngưỡng mộ, yêu thích, những điểm đặc biệt của họ, vì sao bạn yêu thích người đó, kỷ niệm của bạn với người đó...
Tóm lại, khi miêu tả người, ngoài việc trình bày đôi nét về ngoại hình, người nói có thể tiếp cận những ý về tích cách, công việc của đối tượng để bài nói của mình trở nên ý nghĩa hơn. Chúng ta cùng tìm hiểu một số từ vựng miêu tả người từ ngoại hình đến tính cách nhé.

Okay, This is a tricky question because I’ve had a good fortune to rub my shoulder and eventually become close friends with a lot of inspiring and talented individuals – too many to count in fact – who exert an influence on me and never fail to galvanize me to become a better person immediately after talking with them. So it is hard for me to single out a particular person. So instead, I’m going to describe a group of people who have a huge part to play in molding me into the person that I am today.
It is the women that I have a blessing to have them in my life
Let’s start with the one who gave birth to me, my mom. She is one of the most diligent and enterprising people that I have ever known. She’s retired now, but when she was working she would wake up pretty early, and even after a day of hard toil she still mustered up the strength to cook dinner for us. I mean, her cooking is not the greatest- I have to admit – but she always went out of her way to make sure we were properly fed.
And It would be remiss if I did not mention a woman in the making – my girlfriend – who I know will be constantly a fine lady herself. She’s just a winsome ball of positivity. She taught me to be patient, she taught me to love deeply and to give freely. She turned my life upside down in the best way possible, I do not know where I would be without her.

I believe that an effective role model should possess desirable characteristics that inspire others to make positive changes and strive towards their new goals. These aren’t necessarily profound traits. Instead, they could be as easy as being confident, having high moral values or being optimistic, which make the person easy to be looked up to.

I would contend that both teachers and parents share the same importance to a child. While the former play an instrumental role in shaping the academic development, the latter is responsible for their offspring’s behaviors. On the one hand, most of the child’s early years are spent with their parents, hence, they observe and learn the most from the people closest to them. On the other hand, schools are the place children are equipped with knowledge of various areas such as history and science. Besides, teachers also advise young students to study productively and effectively.

I think that positive stories uplifting readers’ moods may have a powerful influence on readers. One of the most notable examples for this could be news of a personal achievement. A professional accomplishment such as winning a Nobel prize or obtaining a medal in a famous tournament greatly inspires others and makes them believe they can do the same.

I’ve gotta tell you, never do I not burst into laughter when watching his shows. But other than that, he is such a kind-hearted person, he’s always taking care of his members, showing love and support and adoring words to his fans. However, behind his smiles and energetic performances lies a very tragic past of his personal life which caused to suffer from immense stress and depression.
To me, he is just a wonderful person a charming singer, a great leader, an inspiring presenter and a strong-willed human being. If I have a chance to meet him in person, I just want to say thank you to him for what he’s done for the group, for his friends and hold him in a warm embrace.

Well, in my to-meet list, there are many famous people who I am very much interested in and dream of meeting. But today, I would like to talk about Taylor Swift, a country music singer whom I really admire.

When it comes to this particular topic, the first person that springs to mind is my next- door neighbor - Mr Tam, a considerate and thoughtful old man. We have been friends for several years since the day he moved into my neighborhood. Unlike many same-age counterparts who are mostly dismissive of anything modern, Mr Tam is not technology-illiterate at all. I also adore this man for his sentimentality. In his younger years, Mr Tam used to be soldier who fought for the country in the Vietnam War. He is sometimes reminiscent of the days when he was in the army. I remember there was one time when he got a little bit emotional about his friends who laid down their lives in the battle. Whenever we talk, he always reminds me and my friends to keep moving forward in life, so that the sacrifices of his friends will not go to waste.
To me, Mr Tam is both a friend and an inspiration. I admire him for his wisdom, his heart and many of his life advice. He is truly a friend that I never thought I would be so lucky to have.
