Đề bài:
It is now possible for scientists and tourists to travel to remote natural environments, such as the South pole. Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages ?
Analysis:
Topic: travelling to remote natural environment
Viewpoint:
Question: advantages outweigh disadvantages?
Brainstorm:
advantages/benefits/merits: (1) enrich human understanding of natural world; (2) help to sustain environmental preservation
disadvantages/drawbacks/demerits: (1) endanger the fragile environment; (2) cause dangers to visitors and scientists due to locations’ isolation
Essay:
Scientific expedition and tourism growth to remote natural habitats has resulted in significant public discussion in recent years. While there are some specific benefits, I would argue that this trend does more harm than good.
On the one hand, increased accessibility to remote wilderness could be advantageous to scientific studies and environmental preservation. Firstly, scientific research in remote areas, including Antarctica, relatively remaining untouched, might enrich human understanding of global environmental issues, including climate change, ozone depletion, and sea-level rise. Ever-accelerating impacts by human activities since the industrial revolution could be better understood by researching ice glaciers in polar areas, containing an unique record of the world’s past climate which later helps scientists to offer more accurate predictions about the Earth’s future environment. Secondly, ecotourism in remote communities might benefit the environment and the local economy because numerous locals and their communities have been relying on ecotourism as their sustainable source of income and conservation funding.
On the other hand, I would argue that there are more drawbacks to this trend. Firstly, increased contact between humans and wildlife animals could strain the already fragile natural environment. There are some reported cases that humans encountering polar bears have caused unnecessary conflicts of killing these wild animals for the sake of protecting humans. Also, scientists and tourists could cause the danger of introducing non-endemic species ultimately devastating native wilderness. Secondly, large ships carrying visitors and scientific professionals could cause great concern as various incidents of oil or fuel spills over these pristine environments could pose a severe challenge for rescue and evacuation and incident resolution due to its isolated locations from inhabited areas. The unavailability of emergency facilities and a dearth of preparation and readiness among tourists could be easily met with unpredictable dangers on these unfamiliar fronts.
In conclusion, while there are some merits of tourists and scientists exploring remote destinations, I believe that the demerits of this trend eventually outweigh its benefits.

Government should avoid levying more taxes and plane tickets, accommodations, tourism creates employment for the local. It maintains economic movements. SAMPLE
Nowadays, environmental issues caused both by tourists and tourism-lated activities have become so grave that many people suggest authority imposing hefty taxes on air travel and hotels for the sake of restricting tourist influx. Personally, I disagree with this notion and believe that governors should find better measures to address the aforementioned issue rather than limiting the tourism industry with the burden of extra taxes.
The key reason why I believe that governments should avoid levying more taxes on plane tickets and accommodations is that tourism creates employment for the local, and tourism aids the economic movements in the region. It also brings significant foreign remittance to the country.
Many nations such as Maldives, Vietnam, Thailand, for example, heavily depend on the steady earnings of their tourism sector. Tourism also makes people tolerant of different cultures and lets them learn about cultural diversity and traditions. If more taxes are implemented on the movement and accommodations designed for tourism, it would bring catastrophic consequences for those countries. Measures which would entail a decline in the quantity of tourists, therefore, should not be implemented.
To control pollution and excessive wastage, authorities can employ workers to clean their surroundings while instructing visitors to not pollute the scenery. Policies to improve the manners of visitors should also be implemented. Improving the public bus system and dedicating transport to foreign tourists can reduce traffic congestion to a great extent. Scientific research and engineering feats, morever, can reduce the emission from land vehicles and aeroplanes, and money should be redirected towards such research works. These solutions would improve the situation without depriving citizens of jobs and economic freedom.
To conclude, extra levies on tourist transportation and housing will limit the inflow of tourists, putting local citizens’ livelihoods at risk, especially in tourism-dependant countries. It is expected that the authorities would find alternative solutions that can tackle and controll pollution created by tourists’ actions in their travel destinations instead of reducing their number.

ĐỀ BÀI
In the past, people used to travel to see the differences from their home country. However, the sceneries in places around the world seem similar nowadays.
What are the causes of these similarities? Do you think that the advantages of these similarities outweigh the disadvantages?
ANALYSIS
TYPES OF WRITING TASK 2: Asking for your ideas about causes, asking for your opinion between advantages and disadvantages.
TOPIC: Countries around the world look similar nowadays
MISSION: body 1: causes - globalization, body 2: more disadvantages, why
PHÂN TÍCH DÀN BÀI
Introduction
Global, tourism, popularity, increase upsurge, rapid growth, accompanied by complaints, similarity, similar landscapes. Similarity reduce the delight and attraction of travelling.
Globalization the biggest reason. I believe there are more setbacks than benefits.
Body 1: Cause-globalization
Globalization unify the world in many aspects. Examples nations and modern culture are similar between nations.
Body 2:
More disadvantages, my viewpoint, this situation is worrying, alarming, concerning, depressing.
Sacrifice of culture indentities is undeniable. Heritage is supposed to be passed down. But it is
interrupted by the rushed lifestyle of modern world. It is saddening if people could only remember shopping as memories, instead of traditional lanes, houses, festivals, etc after a trip to Vietnam.
Example in Vietnam.
Conclusion: Chốt Globalization inevitable but we should do something to protect and preserve cultural features. Otherwise tourism would be pointless.
BÀI MẪU:
Global tourism is enjoying an upsurge in popularity nowadays. However, this trend is accompanied by many complaints that similarities of the landscapes considerably reduce the delights and attractions of the travel. Globalisation, in my mind, is the greatest reason for the similarities. I also think that it has more setbacks than benefits.
Globalisation, certainly, unifies the world in many different aspects. Girls in Shanghai can be witnessed to have the same street look as those in Paris and Milan; KFC and Pizza Hut are popular in Bangkok as they are back in California; the amazing film "2012" was premiered internationally at the same moment. Tourist attractions cannot escape from this sweeping trend. Therefore, it is quite normal to hear comments from a tourist in Hong Kong, claiming that what he or she has seen is just the same as in Tokyo. Modern culture is unanimous and shared across nations.
This phenomenon, in my viewpoint, is alarming and depressing. The sacrifice of local culture identities is present and undeniable. Culture is our ancestors' most treasurable heritage that is supposed to be passed on from generation to generation. It, however, is being interrupted by the rushed life style of the modern world. It, unfortunately, would be disastrous if people could only recall those busy shopping streets instead of the traditional lanes and houses after their trip to Vietnam. And I remember how frustrated I was when I found a lot of popular souvenirs in some foreign countries that could be bought back in Ho Chi Minh City — those delicate wooden sculptures really seemed far less appealing to me.
To conclude, since the trend of globalisation is inevitable, I suggest that both the government and the public make joint efforts in protecting and preserving their unique cultural features. Otherwise, global tourism would eventually turn to be boring and pointless.
