Các thì cơ bản chia động từ

Simple Present

Usage & Structure

Usage:   

(+) I, You, We, They, N (plural) + V 

    He, she, it, N (singular) + V-s/-es 

I often take photos of nature. 

Every Saturday, she plays board games with her friends. 

(-) I, You, We, They, N (plural) + do not + V 

   He, she, it, N (singular) + does not + V 

I don’t take photos of nature. 

She doesn’t play board games. 

Signals:  never, rarely, occasionally, sometimes, often, usually, always​

Simple Past

Usage & Structure   

Usage:   

(+) S + V_ed/ V2 

Last summer, I went to Paris. 

He went hiking with his friends 3 days ago. 

(-) S + didn’t/ did not + V 

I didn’t meet my co-workers yesterday. 

He didn’t do his homework. 

Signals:   

Tip 1: Lưu ý một số động từ bất quy tắc phổ biến trong SAT: ​go - went; have – had; do – did; see - saw​

Tip 2:  Nếu thấy một động từ được gạch chân và không chắc có nên thay đổi thì của nó không, HÃY SỬ DỤNG NGỮ CẢNH của phần còn lại trong câu để làm rõ thì của động từ đó.

Tomorrow/ the day after tomorrow/Soon/later/ In 3 days /In the future/ Next week/ year/ month
