IELTS Listening chủ đề Public places

Public Places - Địa điểm công cộng là chủ đề quen thuộc trong IELTS Listening. Chủ đề này thường xuất hiện ở phần đầu với các Part 1,2 và thỉnh thoảng có trong Part 3-4. Các dạng câu hỏi chính thường xuất hiện như là:

Part 1: Câu hỏi dạng note, form với các địa điểm như chỗ làm việc, nơi tổ chức sự kiện, địa chỉ nhận hàng. Nội dung sẽ có trong các cuộc hội thoại đăng ký dịch vụ hoặc hỏi thông tin. 

Ví dụ: Ở Part 1 hay có hỏi địa điểm, đáp án cho câu hỏi Locaiton, Venue:

The event will take place at the local town hall.

Can you meet me outside the library at 10 a.m.?

Delivery to the community center on Elm Street.

Part 2: Câu hỏi dạng bản đồ, Map Labelling. Nội dung bài nghe sẽ thường là một người hướng dẫn du lịch hoặc quản lý tòa nhà giới thiệu về sơ đồ của một bảo tàng, công viên, trung tâm thể thao hoặc thư viện....

Câu hỏi ví dụ Map Labeling với các cụm từ chỉ vị trí của địa điểm công cộng so với các vật thể khác.

The refreshment area is situated just beyond the main entrance.

Turn left at the information desk; the café is next to it.

Part 3 và 4 cũng có nhiều dạng câu hỏi, thường cũng sẽ dạng form hoặc map. Nội dung như là thảo luận về nơi gặp nhau để làm bài tập nhóm, bài giảng về quy hoạch đô thị, lịch sử...
