IELTS Listening chủ đề University Life (Đời sống đại học)

Là chủ đề học thuật, gắn với học đường, đào tạo nên University Life thường xuất hiện trong IELTS Listening. Chủ đề này hay xuất hiện ở Part 3, Part 2 và thỉnh thoảng ở Part 1, Part 4. 

Ở Part 3, format sẽ là cuộc thảo luận giữ 2-3 học sinh (có thể có thêm giảng viên) về bài tập/khóa học/đồ án/nhóm. Các nội dung về chọn môn, deadline, assignment, seminar, tutorial, group project, library, student services…thuộc chung về University Life. Các dạng câu hỏi hay hỏi là 

Multiple choice (A/B/C): Chọn ý đúng về quan điểm/ quyết định của sinh viên.

Matching (Nối người – ý kiến/đề xuất): Ai nói gì / Ai chọn phương án nào.

Form/Table/Note completion: Điền thông tin chi tiết: topic, deadline, requirements, resources…

Sentence completion: Hoàn thành câu tóm tắt về kế hoạch học tập.

Short answer: Trả lời ngắn (thường 1–2 từ/hoặc số).

Thường trong Part 3, sẽ có bẫy khi người nói đổi ý giữa chừng (ban đầu chọn A rồi chốt B), paraphrase mạnh, nhắc nhiều lựa chọn rồi “settle on” 1 cái cuối.

Ở Part 2, format là một người nói, có thể là staff/guide giới thiệu cho sinh viên mới các thông tin cần biết như: campus tour, thư viện, ký túc xá, câu lạc bộ, dịch vụ hỗ trợ, quy định…

Các dạng câu hỏi hay gặp như:

Map/Plan labeling: Gắn nhãn địa điểm trên bản đồ khuôn viên.

Note/Form completion: Điền opening hours, location, fees, requirements, contact.

Multiple choice: Chọn thông tin đúng về dịch vụ/quy định.

Part 2 sẽ thường bẫy ở phần chỉ đường (next to/opposite/across from), số giờ mở cửa, phân biệt khu/ tòa nhà.

Ở Part 1 thì thỉnh thoảng có nhắc nội dung này, ví dụ Form-filling kiểu đăng ký CLB, đặt lịch tư vấn, đăng ký khóa ngắn, hỏi thông tin cá nhân sinh viên.

Ở Part 4, chủ đề này hiếm gặp hơn.
